Resisters Arrested at NNSA Weapons Plant - First Court Hearing


The four protesters arrested at the National Nuclear Security Administration - Honeywell weapons plant in Kansas City, MO had their first court hearing on May 15, 2012.  Two of the protesters, Lu Mountenay (PeaceworksKC) and Mark Kenney (Omaha Catholic Workers), were found guilty of trespassing and given sentences of 20 hours community service and 6 months probation.


The other two arrested NNSA protesters, Henry Stoever (PeaceWorksKC) and Midge Potts (Springfield, MO) will have the opportunity to defend themselves in Kansas City Municipal Court on August 17, 2012.   Support rallies are being planned for these and other arrested resisters in conjunction with their court dates, check back for details as they approach.
